Final Conference

The final conference of Prospect project was held on October 20 in Athens, Greece.

The aim of the event was to present the results of the project and to create a space for sharing ideas and good practices for prevention of Gender-based violence.  Representatives of government agencies, educational and social institutions, women’s and parents’ associations took part in the conference.

The event started with the welcome speech of the president of KEAN, Mr. Stavros Milionis. Ms. Pinelopi Theodorakakou, co-founder of the organization Women On Top, spoke about equality in Greece, while Ms. Sofia Drossou, a psychologist, specializing in children and adolescents, talked about the necessity of training of professionals in institutions that receive incidents of violence. Dr. Nazia Matani delivered an emotional speech on the revolution and the rights of Iranian women.

Afterwards, representatives of the partner organizations and schools from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Portugal  and Spain presented the results of the project in their countries. At the end of the conference Malina Slavova, project manager, talked about the effect of the activities in the five partner countries.

The Prospect project started in 2020 and for the two years of its implementation  240 professionals and 1698 children and youths took part in the training and awareness-raising activities.
